The director, his wife, and daughter, were all found dead in what was described as a murder/suicide, during the making of the film. https://archive.is/olbEO .

everyone's so obsessed with these secret societies of bankers or religious leaders or what have you taking over the world

Me, I'm just wondering when the robots are going to take over and sort all this bullshit out

PARALYZING_VENOM

This is exactly why this part of Donald Trump's foreign policy speech gave me chills, and I shouted "HOLY SHIT" then immediately feared for Trump's life.

One comment says "Probably the most important speech given in the past 50 years" and I absolutely agree. I hope to Christ he knows how much danger he's put himself in.

(Full speech here. Worth the watch.)

nullninja

Watch his body language. His hand movements hit a second after the words his mouth is emphasizing are heard. This disconnect is a sign of lying. Look at the Clinton footage "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". Same exact disconnect. A slight delay between words and movement.

Donald Trump is a businessman. He doesn't know how to approach politics except from a business perspective. This means that he is selling himself, saying anything he thinks would increase his likeability and gain votes.

Why would you take his words at face value?

I just don't think the most powerful group on Earth, whoever you think that is, is as powerful as you imagine.>

then how did they get to be so powerful if they're not as powerful as we'd imagine?

SaneGoatiSwear

you really think humanity is ready for peace?

the oligarchs, are under the....

oh wait, i typed that above.

Gonna disagree with you. I'm white. We've come the closest. But it's still a long way off.

Al_Rubyx

If we discover some sort of alien government, maybe. Until then you might be right.

Sciency

Depends on the use of the world theory. In the proper usage, a theory is a trend that has been tested, with no exceptions found for the rule.

In common language, you're right though. This goes beyond a hunch and some gut feelings.

aileron_ron

Yeah, A Muslim Government.

Onlio

Except that Muslims never seem to be at peace. They are always fighting and angry

nullninja

Oh look, a government shill pretending to be a regular person

Sciency

In 1984 there where the 3 nations that controlled everything. They rotated, one fighting the next, while the third rested. These wars were always fought over a small 4th groups resources, and never on the soil of the 3 states. There was an unspoken understanding that perpetual war was the only way to control to populous through fear, while simulating economies and providing jobs. Orwell saw our modern system back in 1948 when he finished his novel, many years before perpetual war was the norm.

I feel that a shadow government need not be in power, in this scenario. Its a case where game theory has civilization stuck in a recursive loop. In other words, a nation's best choice for preservation and success now happens to also perpetuate the problem that landed them there in the first place. To break the cycle, one of the major players would have to take a fall. And nobody wants to fall. Self preservation betrays us.

There is (imo) a group of people that set the pieces up to funnel world policy into the loop we now see. These people might only have moderate power, but in the right places, that's all that is needed. They are the ones that stand to gain from this loop. They are bankers, industrialists, investors, and idealists. Many of these people might not even know they are of the cabal.

Considering the above, a true single nation would be neither possible nor profitable. The cabal is only as powerful as it needs to be, to make money and reinforce power. It would however, be an ideological one world government. A single government united by goals, rather than laws.

WhoToldYouThat

Much like in the Middle Ages the power structures compete with each other but not from thrones and castles or in public spectacles. The real power now jockeys behind the curtain of political theater.

Hah, a similar thing happened to me once. I got caught in a rip tide whilst swimming with my grandad. I was about twelve at the time, and we got washed out past the breakers. The beach we were swimming at, was surrounded by rocks. The current was taking us out to sea, but luckily I was with my grandad. He was an ex deep sea diver, spent his whole life salvaging ships. We swam for twenty minutes straight to get back in, got cut to ribbons on the rocks.

8_billion_eaters

It is inevitable.

riposte

Yep. And it's not going to be pretty.

The closest thing to real history of the world may be tragedy and hope by quigley.

If you listen to what russo says the rockerfellar told microchipped population was due turn of the century so perhaps things don't always go to plan. Gen wesley clark was a bit off with his forcast of interventions in middle east and africa but generally on the right track.

european

What is wrong with a one world government?

CowboyXero

In itself, nothing as long as the power belongs to the people being "governed" and is representative in nature with power separated and restricted amongst it's branches.

...if you're talking about power from the top down then you might want to actually study history to see just how badly it turns out for some who saw themselves as absolute rulers of the world, known or otherwise.

rulloff_in_a_jar

One of the things that pressures countries to respect human rights and allows accountability is the competition between them. They need to morally posture to gain support and often point out each others flaws similar to how competition between business groups helps consumers and competition between interest groups means popular support needs to be gained.

A one world government could essentially treat it's citizens however it wished and remain unchallenged. Ad technology advances it could even possibly mean a dictatorship disguised as a democracy that would be able to in practice be invincible.

Not to mention it wouldn't have the values of any particular nation, so the American rights of free speech, right to bear arms, don't think the European contingent would want that. There would likely be free movement of labor so if you think an influx of refugees is bad now, imagine when they wouldn't even need a passport.

mirimar

It means your goods and services will be price fixed , for one. And any legal remedy for your business must go through a world court, not the state you live in. How does that sound to you for starters?

Sciency

You ask a fair question. Short answer: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's one of the few cliches I've never seen an exception to.

WhoToldYouThat

What's wrong with a hammer when it's in the hand of a murderer?

dspfoisdafodsi

nothing if it's an actual democracy, which it won't be

DishingShitLikeA

How we get to that point. It takes genocide, depopulation, brainwashing, propoganda... Basically all the bad things. And it only benefits the elites. It is a system built by the corporation's for the corporation's. Not by the people for the people.

Greed ruins everything.

Essentially we are not mature, empathetic, or rational enough as a species for it to ever work the way it ought to. If it could be established for the good of humanity in general it would be utopia. But in our current state that will never, ever, happen.

SaneGoatiSwear

it only benefits the elites oligarchs

ftfy

elites are the chess pieces, oligarchs play chess.

functional difference: rockefeller vs soros.

rulloff_in_a_jar

Not even corporations. It's based on the wants of the global elite. It's much more specific than simply wanting to maximize corporate profits. It's about the social power of a specific class.

SaneGoatiSwear

oligarchs own the elite.

many different oligarchs. persian, eurasian, western, zionist...

Some people are happy to float on the tide, their lives controlled and manipulated from birth to death. Others realise that no matter how hard you work, how innovative you are, that the game is rigged. The only ones who will ever benefit, are the owners of capital.
