It's too late to stop it. We have to prepare to fight. Work out, learn how to use a gun, learn how to use a bow/crossbow, learn how to drive, how to hunt and track animals. We're going to be living in a pseudo-apocalypse world soon.

Sciency

The populous desperately needs discussions based in fact. 99% of the comments I see online about islam are the same old BS: 'blah-blah religion of peace,' 'something, something pisslam,' 'heh heh mudslime,' ect.

If you want to win this discussion, one must to appeal to reason. This society is only worth saving under the assumption that logical people are still the silent-but-active majority. You can't "out-crazy" the crazies. Stooping to their level only serves to prove that americans are as intolerant as the ideologies they criticize.

I would recommend the following:

-Downvote comments and posts that sensationalize the facts, even if they appear to serve your beliefs.

-Make this discussion about statistically-cited, empirical facts. Stop appealing to emotion.

-Talk to people in the real world, if your local laws permit such free speech.

-Not only should one read up on the facts, and have them on-hand so that you can provide some basis to your argument. A few facts can be the difference between being viewed as a bigot, and being viewed as insightful.

-Learn how to debate like an intellectual. Certain phrases are so charged with political meaning, that they can not be used in discussion.

-Learn a bit about human psychology. If you make someone mad, they will close off any open-mindedness at once. If you use words like "you," your argument will be perceived as a personal attack.

-Where at all possible, this needs to be a debate about cultural trends, rather than race or religion.

-Learn how to respond an idealist argument. Learn how to respond to sjw tactics. And most of all, learn how to tell the difference between the two. Many times, the correct answer is to respectfully end the conversation.
