As moderators are anonymous, this is impossible to achieve.

I get it that moving to voat.co means we leave the corrupt administration of reddit behind, but the most serious censorship there was still always at the hands of moderators.

The rules on this subreddit are an excellent example of this. The moderators themselves acknowledge that there are conspiracies centered on specific race, religion, etc., but nevertheless rule against such discussions. So how are we to take you seriously? How are we to know that the subverse itself isn't part of the conspiracy?

The only way a subverse like this can work is if you let the users moderate. Yes, it means we all have a bit more work going through the posts, but I don't believe there's any alternative.

This assumes of course that the point of something like /v/conspiracy is to work at uncovering conspiracies so as to help mitigate the damage they cause and deter future conspiracies.

huh, somehow i didn't get this username mention and totally missed this post. do mentions not work on posts, only in comments?

Sorry for the late response, @Sensei . I'm not opposed to the idea fundamentally, but I'd like to see arguments supporting the motion.

Edit: Proof that I am not making up the bit about not being paged: https://voat.co/v/ideasforvoat/comments/112603/237892

It's a bug. Will fix for food.

Are there any here, then? I'm not on reddit. Thought I check it out, saw all the shit going down there, heard about voat and decided to skip ahead. So I don't know whether any of /r/conspiracy mods are rotten or not.

I can understand the sentiment, but wouldn't throw away any babies with the bathwater. Is scorched earth really necessary?

Here's a mod list for r/conspiracy for you, since you're not on reddit. I'm not sure what it proves, but the usernames AssuredlyAThrowAway and axolotl__peyotl are present in r/conspiracy and v/conspiracy . Who knows who the others are.

I'm not sure what I think about the idea, myself.
