Of what I've seen of alllie, I don't like them. They seemed a little too SJW for my liking.

Maybe through our posting we will gain another to the understandings of what is really going on this world, rather than kick /user/alllie to the curb early in the formation. Win this mod over and you've changed more than just the makeup of mods here at /v/conspiracy , you've changed a mind.

r0fl

While I completely agree with you regarding the false left/right paradigm - think of the audience here. I am assuming most of us recently migrated from reddit (and r/conspiracy if you're posting here...) and we are all already aware of this.

As long as the moderator's actions are transparent (regarding deletions and the like) I really don't care about the right/left stuff that /user/allie posts.

I feel as if its OUR job to educate people and make everyone aware of things going on around here under our noses. Sure - it would be nice if those silly, purposefully devisive stories didn't make their way to whoa - but I'm fine with it. I'm much more concerned with censorship (which leads to a lack of information sharing and a deficiency in the education possible) than those kinds of things. That's just me though.

I appreciate the post regardless!

casualwhoaversereade

People who are new to conspiracy can't be blamed for falling for the left/right paradigm. They're brainwashed by TV, news, and media and taught to think this way. But, anyone who has been exposed to conspiracy theories for awhile should know the truth. That goes double for moderators! Alllie has been around for a long time. There's no excuse for pushing the left/right paradigm unless your goal is to spread disinfo and distract people.

KittyGlitterSparkles

KOCH BROTHERS!

That's about all we need know about this user.

spongy

One more user here to vote /user/alllie out of the mod circle.

You'll see my one comment so far on whoaverse is pointing out the ridiculousness of one of alllies posts.

On my conspiracy account on reddit me and alllie have had great conversations and agree on a lot of stuff. I'll bet she has me very upvoted.

However on my other account which I use to discuss politics and economics, alllie has called me a shill no less than three times.

This user has far too much bias to be a fair mod. My bigger concern is that this user mods v/politics .

Peglius

Exactly, the status of a moderator, should be based on the actual moderation!!

Tripsick

EDIT: he uses 3 "L's" in his name instead of 2.

so does the alllie on Reddit.. the account that post on reddit is 6 years old with 3 L's

casualwhoaversereade

Yeah, sorry, I screwed up the title when I posted this.

WTCMolybdenum4753

The mods have been set up too quickly and there needs to be some sort of selection process. Sovereignman over at v/911truth is a great mod, AssuredlyAThrowAway here is too. Alllie, I also have reservations, and Axolotl...well i cant understand how he ever became a mod. (No offense Axolotl but I just dont think you're on a par with AssuredlyAThrowAway or others).

I would suggest a list of candidates is drawn up and voting opened up for at least 2 replacement mods.

Let the users here- the most important people-decide

casualwhoaversereade

YES! We should definitely have elections.

Mods should also be able to recalled.

WTCMolybdenum4753

You should set this up. Judging the comments in this thread it'll be supported. Sovereignman seems to agree with you.

But if Alllie gets (re)elected we have to abide by it.

casualwhoaversereade

Alllie was never 'elected' to begin with. She was 'appointed'.

Peglius

Posting polarizing arguments pertaining to a polarizing way of thought that our country perpetuates, on a polarizing verse ( /v/politics ) isnt to crazy, also haven't seen any real DE-railment of relevant issues on /v/conspiracy , by anyone really, so i think were all going to be fine!

casualwhoaversereade

Like MarkW pointed out... it's subtle. It's content shaping. It happens a lot in /r/conspiracy . You combine content shaping with forum sliding, and you can keep all the real topics out of sight.

As a moderator, I'd expect you to be aware of when this type of thing is happening and take steps to prevent it.

Peglius

again, i see no topics being hidden away behind polarizing political posts on appropriate subs, and i have not seen any big disruptions to /v/conspiracy ! although i am on the look out! I sincerely want this to be a place of free open discussion about relevant issues and topics!

casualwhoaversereade

"... i have not seen any big disruptions"

That's the thing. There rarely are 'big disruptions'. It's a bunch of smaller topics that are mostly benign. It's death by 1,000,000 paper cuts. They bring up topics that polarize people. While everyone is busy upvoting and talking about "Puppet A" or "Puppet B" --- nobody is researching or dealing with other topics that are way more important.

casualwhoaversereade

Don't believe me? Listen to this guy instead. ^

I'm not here to win any popularity contests. I just want to see alllie removed as moderator of /v/conspiracy

casualwhoaversereade

I'd imagine that in the future that admin will ask people to turn over verses that they aren't using. Ultimately, conspiritard may get their verse back. They'll probably be forced to give up all theirs too. Whenever a new place opens up there's always a land rush for namespace. If the forum that I was squatting on was filled with content and I was actively pushing an agenda it would be a different story. This whole re-direct is being done to get the topic off of alllie.

And, just to make whistleblower happy, --- I changed the text on the sidebar to prove that I'm not planning to use it for anything. My only regret is that I didn't get to snatch up "Democrats" too.

shadowofashadowofashadow

Signed up just to comment. I very occasionally agree with allie but most of the time they seem like an alt that's around to make us look stupid or stir the pot. Either wilfully ignorant or just a dummy.

casualwhoaversereade

My squatting is irrelevant to the topic at hand. When I joined this site a few days ago I tried to grab some popular names. Most of them were already taken. What I do on my squatted verse doesn't affect /v/conspiracy .

/user/alllie is a bad choice for moderator of Conspiracy. You know that is true.

I think that whistleblower is working with alllie to content shape this topic. They are trying to direct the discussion back to me. They've gotten someone into a position of power and want to keep him/her there.

You guys can ignore it if you want. I think that you'll regret it later.

casualwhoaversereade

Whatever you think about my methods -- it STILL doesn't change the fact that /user/alllie is a moderator of /v/conspiracy . He is using this forum to push the 2 party narrative. I'm not a moderator of /v/conspiracy . I've never wanted to be a moderator here.

casualwhoaversereade

I wasn't going to "own" the discourse. I was going to stop it completely.

whistleblower

Strongly disagree. OP is the moderator of /v/republicans , and expects us to believe that this is about "transcending" left/right politics?

OP makes it out like these posts are "fighting about democrats v. republicans" but /user/alllie isn't a mod of /v/democrats , she's a mod of /v/communism . Meanwhile OP is ACTUALLY a mod of /v/republicans ... come on, really?

The solution to the limits of left/right politics and problems with the two-party system in the U.S. is not "sanction people who criticize republicans," especially when that suggestion is coming from someone who moderates /v/republicans .

The notion that criticizing republicans distracts from investigating the nwo, bankers, or the CIA is pretty ridiculous given all of this. Not only are the Koch brothers a big part of the NWO (why do you think one of them sits on the board of the 9/11 museum memorial), the CIA has historically been very anti-communist and the NWO was ushered in by CIA head George H.W. Bush who also presided over massive deregulation in the name of "free market economics" under Ronald Reagan.

I mean really... there's also COINTELPRO's historic targeting of communists in the u.s. This is BS.

Peglius

^ i think its a bit far fetched to attack a moderator for something unrelated to the moderation of a sub!

casualwhoaversereade

OP is the moderator of /v/republicans

FALSE. There are no posts there. Thus nothing to moderate. OP is the "owner" of that sub and took it to prevent others from using it. Go look at how many posts I've made there. Zero! I would have grabbed "Democrats" too, but it was already taken. As soon as the functionality exists, I plan to turn /v/Republicans into a private sub and never use it again. I don't want anyone else using it either. I want people to STOP fighting about left vs. right.

BTW -- nice attempt at derailing my thread with your own little version of "left vs. right". You and alllie probably work together, huh?

whistleblower

That'll be pretty hard to verify if it's private, now won't it? ;)

The sidebar reads " We believe in the power and opportunity of America’s free-market economy" which is an odd thing to say coming from someone who doesn't want other people to use it...

casualwhoaversereade

Yeah. Copy pasta from a web site.

Notice there are zero posts there? If you make one, I'll delete it.

This is all being done in an attempt to divert attention from the original topic of /user/alllie being a moderator of conspiracy. I'm not a mod here. I don't want to be a mod here. But, I think if you allow him/her to remain a mod of conspiracy you're just asking for trouble. The fact that you're defending him and working hard to divert the attention back to me is quite telling. You guys must work together to control the topics in /v/conspiracy ?

whistleblower

Copy pasted from the GOP's website.

It really is impressive how you completely ignored what I said about COINTELPRO and the NWO, and are now accusing me of working w/ alllie to control the topics in /v/conspiracy .

It's also impressive how you've cherry picked alllie's posts.

Other posts include:

"made in hollywood" by the pentagon's propaganda machine

The NSA documents state that under RAMPART-A, foreign partners “provide access to cables and host U.S. equipment.” This allows the agency to covertly tap into “congestion points around the world”"

US Funds "Terror Studies" to Dissect and Neutralize Social Movements. The so called "The Minerva Initiative", like NSA spying, sees the entire planet as “enemy territory." .

But criticizing the GOP means that alllie shouldn't be a mod? Says the person who allegedly created /r/republicans in order to keep the GOP from pushing their agenda here?

COME ON.

casualwhoaversereade

I changed it to something that should make you happy.

casualwhoaversereade

I think alllie is an alt of various other, more well known usernames there.

Well said. I've often thought that too.

she shouldn't be modding any serious political forum.

If they want to make him/her a mod of /v/politics that's fine. I don't read that forum and could care less. But, making him a mod of conspiracy is a bad idea.

Flytape

Red versus blue is a lie,

Reality is purple versus people.

Flytape

Give alllie a chance. If she is too political then ask that she be removed later.

It is far too early to have witch hunts on whoaverse.

This is coming from someone who is publicly hated by alllie on reddit. I just don't see the purpose of fighting each other.

Peglius

this was also my thought

PaintChemist

No way. She posts way too much left vs. right agenda-oriented stuff. I like her positions on deep state politics, but it's really weird to me how she falls in the red vs. blue dichotomy on so much.

Flytape

The hardest thing in this world to do is to overcome the propaganda. The left versus right propaganda is drilled into us from an early age and I have seen alllie break away from it one little piece at a time.

She is pro gun, pro Jesus. These are right wing territory.

None of us are perfect. Just give her a chance. There is plenty of time for witch hunts later.
