They either disable comments or they ask you to have your facebook directly linked to your comments.

After replying to the propaganda shit that my friends share on facebook, I don't think they even read the titles, they just share because they like the colors or something.

Its weird, cause I always felt like having a comment section bennifited the site, as it allowed them to astroturf the discussion. Maybe they just realized how transparent those shills can be.

Either way, its no loss imo. Nothing productive ever comes from thoose comment sections. They actually manage to make youtube look good...

Yeah, the progressive newsblogs started it to avoid people "harassing" them by disagreeing with their poorly researched and thought out positions. The practice floated up the chain from there.

I see it as a natural progression of things. Each MSM outlet has their own voice or agenda, and people on the internet, in general, are retards; VOAT being the exception.

I only ever read the Voat comments under the link, I rarely care about what's under the actual article on their site. Even before being banned entirely, the sites were moderating heavily.

That is a keen observation. I normally don't venture onto mainstream media, and less likely to comment based on the quality of most articles.
