An interesting way of looking at things for me as I've always just seen false flags as a mean of achieving a goal that would otherwise be unobtainable. Like 9/11 to get the people behind accepting a declaration of a war on terror and and get a lot of support for any actions taken thereafter. And Sandy hook always looked like it was a case of gun control, rallying the public and getting there backing for tighter restrictions which they would never have agree to otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised if they did coincide with other things though just so they went under the radar easier though.

The truth is, nobody cares, but we are being told from all angles that we care.

It's just the most recent social issue that is bound to polarize the nation enough to distract them from anything of actual value/importance.... gays/race/abortion/guns have all lost their thrill for the time being... trans is new and fresh enough to rile up the extremists on both sides. Plus, Jenner is connected with the Kardashians and America loves their celebrities, so its an added bonus
