I cannot believe that we as Canadians are dealing with this attack on our civil liberties. It seems to be a global trend and feels very orchestrated. Hopefully with the surge in NDP support we might see some amendments to the bill by either them or if it goes through the tribunal system.

What gives me confidence is that I feel even with those that are not so internet savvy that Canadians are really getting tired of this charade which has become our government. The backlash against the Liberal party is also uplifting. We fight and I do believe with the right people in power we will start to recognize the country we all wish we had before this debacle.

We organise, we defeat the Conservatives, we repeal the law, we go from there. No change is possible with a Harper government, ergo the only solution is to mobilise the electorate before democratic process becomes a thing of the past.

I always assumed Canada was like the rational little brother to the US. Keeping quiet, but fully aware of the mistakes made by their brother to the south. Unfortunately, this poorly composed simile is no longer appropriate.

I hope massive protests are planned for this blatant disregard for public opinion and public privacy committed by your government. Do not become as complacent as America, no good ever comes out of it. Do not allow this to lead to even greater overreaching powers granted to government. Do not let fear rule your population. Do not trade liberty for security because you'll end up losing both.
