I saw this too, but I'm not sure if I buy the CIA/FBI angle posed in this info graphic. This kind of breakdown happened in places like Cincinnati too where I heard protesters complaining about people who just showed up every day, didn't camp out, and started changing the narrative to subjects like child care.

I think it's a natural progression of the neo-hippy-liberials. It could have been influenced by government, yes (and there is a history of that happening), but I don't think it took that much effort. The media bent the story so it seemed like no one knew what the protests were about.

But it was clear what the protests were about: The billions handed over to banks who destroyed peoples lives. So many people lost their homes, many who were tricked into thinking they could afford them by real estate men and women who forged documents and straight out lied to people.

it stems from status - so many people are trying to make the "scene" that it distorts the purpose. in order to prevent this you have to be wary of the clubby and social aspects and make efforts to prevent social behaviors from dominating. It's really not that hard - it simply requires being a hard ass and staying on topic at all times.

Sciency

I suspect things will slow down again if we can make it through election time without a major happening. If they don't slow down, there's really no way to stop it. You've just got to identify it for what it is, and then ignore it. Don't allow yourself to be radicalized against flagrant stupidity; we are outnumbered, and would be wise to pick fights that can be won.

Leadership, organization and resources.

No revolution or movement has ever succeeded without those key components, especially leadership. A "grass roots social movement" without it is a just a mob of aimless people, which is, of course, doomed to fail.

Drenki

lol at that "progressive stack", progressives cucked by their own cuckholdry.

Occupy Wall Street was designed to get 0bama reelected. The loony Left made him look like a "moderate" by comparison.

That was Obama's Winning Strategy.

Empire_of_the_mind

Occupy Wall Street was designed as a bit of a joke that went over way too well and was accidentally very successful because the point it made was so desperately obvious and so clearly missing from the conversation. It was also basically over as soon as it began - the statement "Occupy Wall Street," reinforced by the literal action, was the victory. There was never any "OWS" movement, that was something created later by the hobo's and professional protesters who had nothing better to do.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Conservation of energy. it didn't go away,it just went to Trump.

What comes to mind as the most successful way to counteract these tactics is strong leadership. Unfortunately, splintering can happen at any level of the organization and still be very effective.

How do you explain the concept of The Narrative to someone who is completely oblivious?

Sciency

Teach them the steps and traits of critical thinking. You can't make someone believe something crazy unless you have evidence, and that evidence is only useful to someone who can interpret it.

More than anything, someone will never believe something they can't rectify with their belief system. Most people are very emotionally invested in their paradigm, and will actually internally censor something that would cause their world view to crumble. Its best not to spend too much time on such people, especially if you care for them. Some people are simply too emotionally fragile to handle such a paradigm shift in a healthy way.

As a side note, I feel like most people have many of the pieces already in place. Often, if you can give someone just one more piece the the puzzle (media narratives is a good example of this), the cascade effect will take over and they can fill in the rest of the blanks.

A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery.

Excellent post

Is it perhaps better to say "capable people"? There are at least some females and minorities who can't stand with identity politikers pushing aside the more important focus. (Anecdotally, I've met many.)

I'm not trying to take away your point—I simply wonder if it's sadly just another game of identity politics.

european

Identity politics all the way DowN.

If the commoners aren't fighting each other, they might end up working together and going after the elite.. We can't have that now can we?..

Think it is time to occupy some places again..

Any major movements will just be subverted by the same operatives that are inciting (most of) the BLM violence. The only chance at a worthwhile protest will follow an "all-too-real" world event, that scares the average joe out of their basement.

I thought i was the only one that believed this.
