You have to look at the financial ties of the people behind the news companies to make sense of some of these things.

If you have a lot of money in arms manufacture and oil, you want the world to fear muslims.

If you have a lot of money invested in making sure hillary gets elected, you want as little talk about muslims as is possible, so you might see a return on your investment.
