If there's one thing I associate with Trump, it's definitely the surveillance state

Trump is a shill for sho.

He loses, and the establishment wins. He wins, And the establishment wins. They're obviously playing both sides of the aisle. Bernie is a shill too. The election is a sham. All the energy going into it could be better spent elsewhere, namely in localized revolutions.

Is he proposing anything the government isn't already doing?

With the march of technology, I think a surveillance state is inevitable. The only way to make progress is to push for a FOIA state to monitor it.

The "surveillance state" that has been in full force, albeit clandestinely, for several decades now? Trump has nothing but atypical politics to bring. He may do amazing things, he may not. The voters like to ascribe dictator-like powers to the office of the President, but they're only part of the show.

Trump is going to have the biggest bestest surveillance state this world has ever seen. Its quite a real possibility, more of a probablility. Has he said anything that makes it seem like he cares for privacy or individuals' rights? Its just been security talk from him, if he builds a border wall what else will he do. Not saying I would vote for Hilliary obviously, but Trump could do a good job on immigration and completely fuck the country still in the blink of an eye. So choosing him is a big gamble, not that theirs much of a choice.

That's a weird view. Trump certainly has no more interest in a "surveillance state" than anyone else. "Surveillance" is the watchword of the Obama administration. It will be worse if Mrs. Clinton is elected.
