For those missing the point of this post:

Clinton will shave votes off of trump in his home state. Libertarian party wants national attention (as they should). In this rare case, hillary and the libertarian party have a common interest.

This would be like the green party getting on the NY ballot in a sanders/bush race. Obviously bush stands to benefit in that situation, because democrats and the green party share a large voting base, just like republicans do with the libertarian party.

So the question here is: do clinton and her friends have anything to with the country-wide surge of 3rd party activity, or is this an organic event?
