Did anyone hear a story on the radio about a missing teenager or child that took a long bathroom break and then disappeared? She was later found with a different haircut and different shoes. ( conspiracy )

I swear I heard this story on NPR or on the local Charlotte, NC radio WBT. They were on a hike or something and she went missing. Later found with a strange haircut and torn or different clothing and possibly different shoes. Now I can't find it anywhere.

That's it. Thank you, thank you. I thought I was going crazy. It sounded like one of those stories of people that go missing in national parks.

Maybe post this around local subs for NC or Charlotte? I'm out of state and I haven't heard of it.

It could have been an ap story for all I remember. I'll try that though. I distinctly remember it being about a girl that went missing on a hike, she went to use the bathroom (as you would in the woods), and disappeared for a while. Maybe a hunter discovered her or something. But she looked different, like she had different hair, dyed in a different color.
