I don't see the U.S. ever going full scale martial law, rather they try to control us with the idea of overwhelming force and control the way we think through manipulation of the media. If the U.S. was to ever go to war with its own people it would be a lose-lose situation. The government would never be able to win, the fighting would draw on for years and years kind of like in the middle east except they wouldn't be able to just pack up their shit and leave when they realize it's a never ending war.

If anything, government is spending a shit load of money they dont have.
