Dysnomia

Humble and skeptical, conspiracy theorists have empathy and lack the fanaticism of fundamentalists while maintaining their sobriety.

The article is not as important to me as the source. Scientific American? From an author otherwise known for LGBT activism?

In other words, if one doesn't have their pineal gland clogged up with fluoride and doesn't get their news that is controlled by six corporations and/or gets their news from Facebook is just a bunch of conspiracy theorists and has serious mental disorders because they do not conform to the lies.

Ive come to believe there is no such thing as "mental illness". There are merely some people who are misunderstood and glorified name-calling by other people who assume they embody "normal"

Up goat. Read the whole thing and it was a long read to learn next to nothing. The useful bit IMO was that a theory needs to be falsifiable

This makes me wonder a bit.

Is the average person falling for this crap? I know people in this community tend to be pessimistic, but you brought up an extremely valid point:

The article was long and had nothing of value. It was in scientific american.

So maybe a genders studies major would fall for this crap.

Like I said in the headline -- check the author. You're close with "gender studies major". My concern was not the content of the article, but in what way is it "Scientific"? Who is setting their agenda? It's not like they're devoid of political shenanigans in the past.
