Vascular Dementia is an odd one. It's ususally caused by 'mini strokes' that once detected, can be stopped by diet and medication.

It's not necessarily a downward slide like say Alzheimer's.

I think she has already died. Several news agencies have "mistakenly" run news stories on her death.
