Although several parts of this I agree with, I have a different take on this.

The way the "world works" now is that every little podunk dictator in every 3rd world country wants American military metal to come join their side; to aid in their little local squabbles and civil wars. These dictators/princes will say and do anything to get this result. In the 1990s, the Saudi Royal family was seriously threatened by the power of the radical Wahabist muslims inside Yemen and inside Saudi Arabia. The Bin Laden family was getting richer (and hence more influential) and nearly about to overthrow the Royal Family, and they knew it. Saudi Arabia is home to thousands of "princes". Nearly a dozen of these princes trained the pilot-hijackers of 9/11, and bankrolled all of 9/11 using jihadists mostly from their own country. This is why 90% of the hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.

What was the end-goal of this? The Saudi Princes pinned the blame of the 9/11 attacks on their worst enemy, effectively bringing the world's most powerful military superpower against them. The Saudi Royal family is now a completely untouchable monarchy overseeing an unassailable oil cartel. Now you understand why Saudi Arabia is carpet-bombing Yemen around the clock. (This is happening right now, by the way). Those are American weapons being used in Yemen. Look it up.

Hence, American military metal is on the ground helping dictator/princes fight a civil war in Yemen -- exactly the intended result.

As a very rough guess I imagine that electrical vehicles could be a majority of cars is a dozen years or so. Add in solar power, and oil rich nations start to go the way of the Dodo bird.

The "new Pearl Harbor" was something we talked about in a critical thinking class I had in college. Paul wolfowitz who was in the bush administration wrote what he called a "new American century" and it talked about what was needed to keep the United States as top dog in the coming century, he spoke of curtailing citizen rights and expanding military and government power. But, he said, this was likely a "long and arduous process" unless a "new Pearl Harbor" happened. People would willingly give up rights to go after the "bad guys".

And they succeeded....for now. Lots of things are unraveling. We'll see if their plan stands the test of time.

As accurate as all of that sounds, how precise is this synopsis?

The current situation is basically like writing cheques you know will never be cashed. Nations have to hold massive dollar reserves for oil transactions which means the USA can print as muchmoney as it likes knowing that it won't be spent, that the cheque won't be cashed. If the petrodollar falls, all these cheques will effectively be cashed at one and the artificially deflated U.S. economy will spiral into hyperinflation. The country would be bankrupt overnight.

This isn't a conspiracy theory it's fact.
