My guess is that "October" means that the FSB had found and compromised the state department, they did this years ago. They released the panama papers, the diplomatic cables, the dnc leaks and the emails. They scoured over it, connected the dots for the stupid media, and are going to release really damning information this October to undermine US global influence.

If that turns out to be the case, then the US can save face at the last minute by officially throwing the Clintons and the dems under the bus. Considering the CFR spent $300 million trying to run Jeb Bush, this makes no sense. Now, I'm not saying that Trump might not be influenced by someone, but he wasn't the "picked" candidate for the Republican side, not at all.

In no way would CFR have ponied up the $300 million if they had known Trump would own Jeb in the primaries.

Funny thing is they mention a man-on-the-side attack. Which, unless they're talking about somehow getting access to these sites at the network or DB level is bullshit.

They only way they could possibly use a MOTS attack effectively against the chans/reddit is if they both (the sites) had some type of CSRF vulnerability, or if CTR were competent enough to perform a cookie stealing attack on their targets.

Which isn't necessarily 'easy'. They'd be stopped by the default CORS settings in pretty much all browsers, unless they did some iframe magic or their targets get BeEF'd I don't think its much to worry about.

Very possible these were leaked on purpose, as some sort of Psyop to silence trump supporters or 'thought leaders' online.
