I haven't read the full text of the law, but usually they write in exemptions for themselves and law enforcement.

Am in Seattle, saw this coming very quick. Seattle Times was all over the idea they're not doing enough to regulate guns in the wake of the recent shooting.

What they're ignoring , is that the shooter was denied being sold a gun prior to the shooting because they asked for the standard background check.

If it was not for the existing gun control measures in place, one can assume the death count would have been [much] higher. There's no level of gun confiscation that's going to get ordinary .22 hunting rifles off of the market (which is what this knee-jerk reaction is all about).
