My guess is that it took until now to meet with attys and figure out how to handle it and get a defense strategy ready if needed. She's no friend of Hillary. If anything I imagine she'd back Jill Stein. Beyond that I doubt this will get much msm coverage, msm doesn't like her much from what I can tell.
