Thing is, the AI would eventually trick us into giving it control under the guise of "advice". Imagine if a 3 year old locked you in a cage and asked you for advice about what to do from time to time. How long do you think it would take to trick that kid into letting you out? Or maybe convince him that you really needed a hacksaw to answer one of his questions?
