I'm beginning to suspect something funny about North Korean missiles ( conspiracy )

They're not going through the immense trouble and expense of building rockets. Fully functional rockets that can hit Japan with a working explosive payload to toss them into the sea. We are only getting our news from the Navy, and they could have been shooting them down all this time without telling the public.

They read our news and we read theirs, and we are not giving them the propaganda satisfaction of letting them know their rockets work. Am I slow? Did I realize this later than everyone else?

I hear ya ... but tests are tests, so I'm not buying this one. We (US) shoot off a few unarmed, but properly configured, ICBMs from Vandenberg AFB in Ca every year ourselves, along with sub launched ICBMs, for test and evaluation. The Russians do the same, as does every other missile capable country. It's just part of normal operating procedures. You test what ya got, show off the capabilities, and study the data to improve.
