Actually, yes I do hear a sound like that sometimes. I'm not kidding, but I don't know if CERN is the source or not. I don't want to give them too much credit. I am not in KCMO so I'm not totally in the loop, but my friend there told me a theory that they are making a teleportation type machine. If you have any cool things about them to share I'd love to hear it. I don't know much about them, they're a pretty shadowy corporation to me

If you haven't seen bpearthwatch and his opinions on CERN it is an interesting angle for sure! He gets into religious aspects but also lots of science and I recommend watching the last couple RE the new AWAKE installation and Italy's last couple earthquakes. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cern+bpearthwatch

Like a distant, bassy, car stereo? That may be an atmospheric/barometric phenomenon whose name escapes me.

Umm, are we talking the HLC (giant particle accelerator) in Switzerland CERN, or creepy hidden badguy fortress CERN that I've never heard of before?

The_Cat

LHC CERN in Switzerland, though I've heard people imply they're also the second.

AnotherRedditRefugee

Well, with the exception of the anime Stien's Gate (very good imo), I haven't heard anything about CERN being anything other then a ligament scientific community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of science and our understanding of the universe. I love science, and try to keep abreast of whats going on in general, and I try to keep an open mind about conspiracies without being tinfoilhat, but I've not heard a peep about this.

Still, the idea of CERN as the bad guys was an interesting concept in stien's gate, so I'd be interested in any evidence that you do have.

wellfuckyoutoo

That's your oppinion. I ask why there's supposed to be an "T" in the word when the Z has that function. Why aren't you wondering where the "T" in Pitzza went?

So we have diametrical views. I would back up my view with a plethora of physical objects that constitute what we call evidence that schizophrenia has historically been spelled without an T... The same sort of evidence that we collectively use to navigate our every day reality.

You on the other hand have a theory that relies on the absolute infallability of the human memory with no supporting evidence other than other people having the same dysfunction in their memory.

That's why, without meaning any disrespect, I conside anybody adhering to the "Multiple timeline"-theory logically inferior without the nessesary tools to navigate the shared reality - As long as there's only anecdotal "evidence".

Would it louder or quieter than the rest of the voices in my head?

The_Cat

Still, established physics is never proven wrong, just slightly inaccurate under more extreme circumstances.

The_Cat

That seems rather implausible, as all physics is rather strict in allowing only inlfuence on the future, not the past.

The_Cat

They do interesting physics, just looking for other opinions as well.

jerry

Those motherfuckers have 4 huge locations in each corner of Kansas City. Extraordinarily wealthy company but i haven't heard anything substantially evil about them

The_Cat

They're not a company but an international government-sponsored research organization. What are they doing in Kansas?

jerry

No idea what they're up to. But they employ easily thousands in Kansas City alone. Each location is sprawling

The_Cat

Could you elaborate?

dkyuss

The mandella effect. Apparently some of us are on differing time lines. This has been blamed on CERN opening a portal or stargate, but.... ya im not really convinced. How do you prove anything except peoples memories are malleable? https://youtu.be/iw-YiEnHJ4s

AnotherRedditRefugee

Ok, this sound like major crackpot conspiracy stuff here, and most of the evidence this guy gives is crap, but some things like vaders lines, and 3po's leg, that makes my thinking noodle hurt.

Some other youtube vids give more and better evidence, enough that I'm not just able to laugh at the people that buy this bullshit and go on with my day. This is pissing me off. I'm extremely scientifically minded, and I know how shit human memory is, but I still can't shake the feeling that some of these things are wrong.

1WinfieldBlue

I'm sure you would've seen this but just in case

The_Cat

Yes I did, just grad students having a chuckle :p

1WinfieldBlue

Lol Are you sure? :p seriously though haven't followed anything about CERN sorry couldn't help!
