NSA leaks have already shown that they can plant child porn on computers. It doesn't seem like that bad of an idea does it? If Trump is going to ruin your life I'd say it's worth a shot to discredit him in any way you can.

If nothing else works just hire someone to shoot him. Sure it would make him a martyr and cause some civil unrest but that would buy you another 4 years.

I personally think if "the elite" (whoever you think that may be at this time) REALLY wanted to stop Trump from being elected they easily could have done so.

I don't think they were scared...you know when you put LOTS of time and effort into plan A, and your sure it will work, until at the last minute you finally realise it's doomed to fail, so you switch to your Plan B, which was hobbled together without much thought? You might hate plan B, but you still made it, and it's better then no plan.

He was too high profile for them to do that. You saw how the fake scandals bounced off him. As soon as they realized fighting him only made him stronger, they (e.g. Fox News and the GOP) fell into line and changed their strategy. Now they want to do what they did with Nixon ; let him take the fall for WW3 (in Nixon's case Vietnam) and then yank him.

Your second point leads me to believe that the elite are still happy with him in power. That would really contradict the what most people are saying.

Were the machines programmed to vote flip, and $hill was the chosen one, this would have instead gone down as a narrow victory for her, despite Trump winning or tying the popular vote. That would have also been an interesting result.
