This was definitely a set up, so they can point to it as an example of "fake news".

The people who are done with MSM are done. They are floundering to get credibility again. They are starting to be afraid to send out reporters. With the cop shootings becoming a regular occurrence, and hostility against them building they may have stumbled on some real news. If there were to be a real revolution they will be the first to go I imagine. I call it my happy thought.

Yup. Trail ran flat when there was no video of it despite showing it was recorded on tivo. A simple search for the source of the source showed how easy it was to debunk it.

I just figured it was a case of someone getting their BBC folders mixed up.

How does this help them though? All of those mainstream news sources which are supposed to be "real news" sources didn't have any other evidence besides that one tweet and ran the story. If this is a setup to out fake news, then they did a terrible job at executing it and it just shows how little fact checking takes place before these people run these stories.

I believe this and came to a similar conclusion. Want to find fake news sites? Just get the list of all the major networks and publications that reported on this. These are the same people that Mark zuckerburg wants to use to combat "fake" news on Facebook.
