Please let somebody sue the shit out of them.

Morpheus

Spez did that after he'd already been told to keep everything by them. He's in deep shit for that I'd imagine.

codegoat

I wonder what his price was? He probably came cheap. Like most ɡɔɪɪm do.

If a comment was removed or edited from a database there "should" be some record of it being deleted.

I fucking hate that site.

Now any evidence from reddit is suspect.

Most evidence from McReddit is suspect, even the PizzaGate things because of how absolutely corrupt and infiltrated McReddit really is. EVERYTHING has to be validated, verified, and salted before even considering it as morsels of truth.

Yes. The community has become so toxic it cannot be trusted at face value at all in a lot of instances. No level of proof at all, don't bother reading. Then to top it off with this level of tampering, it's evident the site is only promoting/showing what it see fit. We need a replacement (this site here is a good start, but is still vulnerable).

Phobos_Mothership

If there is anything positive to be taken out of this, it is that (r)eddit is finally being exposed for being the echo chamber that it is.

Ding dong, the witch is dead.

senpaithatignoresyou

That is a pleasant thing to hear.

The problem with editing comments, is from what i understand it gives the site legal burden for any defamation of character that would occur. It is incredibly risky and stupid.

I do keep forgetting that these are left leaning IT guys, with now business experience, and sub par it skills. so them doing stupid shit is quite possible. hanlons razor....

At the same time, i noticed that reddit was not in the news so much after the stonetear incident. That i find interesting.

Not to stick up for reddit's politics and censorship, but their IT skills are fine.

I also found this very interesting. The power the clintons seem to have over the media (including "internet" media) is very telling in its own right. There is likely a LOT of money and a LOT of blackmail flying around behind the scenes.

pitenius

I'm surprised that people stay bought.

TYL even reddigg's mods can now shadow-delete posts and comments without submitters knowing it (no notification in PM box). They will need to log out to see their comments as [deleted] and posts gone from their profiles.
