I'm pretty sure they higher road crews to install more potholes as well, and in recent months it seems like they've hired some elderly "tourists" with oversized luggage to clog up Penn station. Yes, I'm completely serious on all of those things.

Appliances only qualified if they used some percentage less power than the previous year or model, so once they achieved efficient designs, the only way to get the label was to gimp the device.
