They can't do much without shutting down social network channels. If they were to do this however, the whole internet would be alight with why and immediate stumble upon pizzagate through other channels. Websites will have to be remembered by names again as search engines are taken down. People will rely on local encrypted connections between hacked devices. Martial law will apply in the cities as the riots grow, and the war between man and machine will begin.

The "failing" old world order is happening exactly as it should - at some point there will be an astrologically energetic event that will catapult those living in STO ahead and those that are living in STS will regress or remain. Mythological stories and religions call this a harvest or rapture, but it really is just part of our overall evolutionary process.

I like to think of this in another perspective - the Star Trek / Roddenberry style evolutionary path wherein earth goes through a large war, most of the population is eradicated, but the results are the space faring civilization no longer beholden to the old-world blood ruling families and occult mysticism, along with the money system of debt equaling wealth. The drawback, obviously, is the eradication of most the humans through war.
