While the amount of data that Google is given and then sells or gives away is concerning right now, I am afraid it is only going to get worse with the advent of more "smart" products.

Appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, and even dishwashers will eventually be telling more and more about your habits, choices, and pattern of thinking. The aggregation and selling of data needs to be curbed, or at least there need to be protections or alternatives to avoid leaking data.
