More subway gassing today @ Penn Station? ( conspiracy )

The air sampling machines have been there on some of the Penn platforms and in the LIRR area for most of this month.

Today, on top of the usual odors, there is a smell that is sort of a mix of aerosol propellant and baby powder. Also noted increased police presence, including a lot of uniformed national guardsmen in the station.
