Some were on voat a few months ago. I had that idea long before then due to other environmental/geological observations. The crust of the Earth can shift suddenly in its entirety. Proof exists with underwater mapping. Look ah Hawaii and the ocean floor volcanic trail leading behind from where it is now for the hot spot.

You are not alone with this curiosity. Just like any other conspiracy, there are some things that don't add up, and we still don't have a proper picture regarding anything they found there (above or below).

P.s. Flat earthers are just idiots. Hollow earth, in comparison, has more merit if you want to choose between the two.

My 2 cents may involve a different line of conspiracy thinking.

The Van Allen Radiation belt is prohibitive to space travel because of it's effects on electronics as well as humans.

Tho polar areas are near the magnetic axis and thus launches from Antarctica could bypass the Radiation Belt effects...or at least minimize them.

I would like to suggest that rather than lost Ark's of the covenant, or lost Atlantis, that Antarctica is probably more related to clandestine space activities...

thoughts?

Sciency

Hollow earth is basically the belief in a really big cave. Not all that wild on its own. There are different versions, some with a sea, some with a full sun, but most I hear are about aliens or human ancestors that diverged to live underground to survive some sort of extinction event. I'll buy that there are big caves with subterranean lakes, and maybe even bioluminescent fungi, but I kinda doubt the mole people are down there.

Flat earth theory is asking us to perceive the scale and shape of the universe differently. Have you ever stopped to think that someone in Australia is sort of standing upside-down? But are they? Or are you? The answer doesn't change the reality of that situation, just your perception of the world around you. Same goes for flat earth. If the earth is in fact flat, this does not change my daily life, so I chose not to give it too much thought. I don't spite those who do, I just think there are more important things to consider first.

Antarctica houses a deep under-ice nazi submarine base. The entire fleet of cutting edge nazi nuclear subs disappeared at the end of the war. Antarctica is where they went.

New Schwabenland or however that's spelled

I find this to be highly relevant and interesting. Thank you for posting. Exactly the type of thing I am looking for.

Poot_McGarvey

hollow earth, flat earth both are pretty silly.. It's find to be interested in it I guess... but to me they seem like a waste of time to research considering the amount of people from all countries that would have to be in on it for it to be true.

Furthermore, on the 1, in 10^1000 that it happens to be true... it isn't very consequential or relevant to the debates that matter most right now. At least with Antarctica there is something to point to for potential evidence of something (hidden natural resources, military bases, ancient advanced civs or something)... just my two cents.

B3bomber

I'd wager on the ancient advanced civilization theory for Antarctica. There has been evidence it underwent flash freezing instead of a slow freeze event over time. As in 1 day it was around 70-80 F and sometime during the same day the temperature dropped to -60 F and stayed there. In particular one section of the continent has scans by the USGS which suddenly look very flat while all the terrain under the ice has features except in that one area (whitewashed like how they cover up military areas in satellite photos).

There is proof of this happening to some woolly mammoth specimens. They're found with blooming flower types in the stomachs and the cause of death was being frozen where they stood grazing.

Flat_Earth-Fat_Girth

The earth is flat and every other conspiracy is trivial compared to the master conspiracy of the flat earth.

Flat earth has so much attached to it, to say "Flat earth is silly" or "A waste of time" or "Not relevant to debates" so dumbfounding to even read that. Flat earth destroys everything and proves the credibility of older and ancient knowledge.

I have an open mind, but the curvature of the earth is fairly obvious, especially when viewed from an airplane at cruising altitude. I fly regularly, so I am wondering how you would counter this.

Flat_Earth-Fat_Girth

All windows curved on an airplane. All pictures of curved horizons are created using a fish eye lens. No curvature to be seen water is flat just like the earth.

On top of that since you fly regularly you should also know any flight path on the globe can be plotted onto a flat earth map to create a straight line from destination A to destination B.

Cheers.

Since you are open minded I will warn you the only problem with the flat earth theory is that it's the hardest to explain because science has created a bunch of beliefs that have to be adjusted to fit the flat earth concept.

jayv0

I've heard this argument before and it stands to reason that all straight lines should be curved then. Runways, buildings, city grids, all appear to be straight and square from a plane.

I'm flying again for the holidays, I'm going to bring a ruler.

Thanks for responding!!

Flat_Earth-Fat_Girth

No problem it's basically an illusion I don't know how to describe it. My transition was basically -

Flat earth is not possible

Then, Okay maybe the earth is bigger than we think it is because the curvature is not as much as science claims.

Then, okay I don't know how big it could be then because the formula for earth curvature is 8 inches per mile squared. Definitely not visible.

Then it was, okay guys I think the earth might be flat.

Now it's, guys the earth is probs flat, definitely not a sphere. Looking at it from the FE perspective trying to reason back to the sphere earth is hard I can't come back to believing it. Flat water across lakes (I live near Toronto and Niagara falls and you can see straight across the lake.) I also look at the sun rays coming down from above and also don't believe the earth is a sphere.

Doesn't seem as if it's 100 millions miles away, more like 2000 miles away. Picture 1 Picture 2

I know you asked about the moon before so I'll talk some shit about the moon as well. :)

The moon goes through cycles every 29.5 days. The moon itself gives off a light that is cooling, it does not reflect sunlight. The moons cycles are created entirely by the moon and sunlight doesn't actually illuminate the moon.

I don't believe in gravity I believe in density.

Curious as to which debates you believe are most important right now. Not being an ass, asking out of curiosity. Thanks for popping in.
