Many people stay on Facebook because family and friends are on it and it's their only way to stay in touch. Most family and friends are not going to leave because they won't believe you when you tell them Facebook is so corrupt.

pr0nw4r

well that confirms it even more, GMO's are actually harmful if the jews like it.

Or..... There are legit concerns that altering the makeup of food is having negative effects on humans..... It's pretty coincidental that as soon as high fructose corn syrup made with modified corn came on the scene, literally the entire world saw massive rises in obesity.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being concerned about GMO's on a case by case basis.

Vaati

The main issue with high fructose corn syrup is that the subsidization of corn makes it stupidly cheap, so companies can add excessive amounts of it to things without taking a huge hit from production costs. If we used sugar in the same quantities that we use corn syrup, obesity would still be high.

Except there is no proof that is true. I'm not saying it's not, I'm saying there is nothing wrong with being skeptical about literally modifying food. Plenty of shit had sugar in it back in the day. Coca Cola has been around since the late 1800's. Didn't see people getting fat from drinking coke. Sugar has been in shit forever. Candy was HUUUGGEEEE back in the early 1900s. Point is, it's worth being skeptical.

Vaati

I never said the "only" issue. I said the main one.

ThePolymath

/v/conspiracy is probably a futile place to post this, but most of the anti-GMO rhetoric is bullshit. I personally would love to see less crap from Natural News and Mercola.

EngelbertHumperdinck

Careful, voat loves GMO. They think it's better than nature.

I havent heard too much about the shit on voat. I am against gmo, but i am just one voice. If i had my say in anything it would be why the hell do we need to continue to manipulate our crops to be better protected from a certain produced chemical from an established corruptoration?

I dont think we should be meddling in our food the way they do. I avoid gmo, that shit needs to be labeled and not all of voat loves it.

EngelbertHumperdinck

No, of course not. I also avoid it whenever possible. But in this thread, you can see some support for GMOs. If this was posted outside of v/conspiracy , it would be met with even more pro GMO sentiment. Same goes for vaccines, some of which incidentally, contain GMOs.

immatureusername

I avoid vaccines as well. Working on removing flouridated water from my life too. Its fucking difficult to live without being fed poison.

EngelbertHumperdinck

Word. It's a difficult battle, but we gotta keep it up.

TREDDITFIRST

We should start calling it ‘Fakebook’

solar_flare

I've been doing that for a while considering how how fake people are on there, but now it's even more fitting with this "fake news" stuff.
