I like how you show the other jet flying without persistent contrails. When I witnessed that for the first time it definitely started making me pay attention.

Yes me as well. It never made sense why some planes flying at similar altitudes will not create them and some will.

Also where I live, it seems like the trails are almost always aligned north south. Planes flying other directions during days when there are trails in the sky, will not leave the trails.

Pictures taken in the Rogue Valley, Oregon. Trails appear to be above the Klamath Valley Area, and were taken on Oct 14, 2015. There are two pictures showing other planes in the same time frame that were creating normal condensation trails.

Edit: All pictures in album are in chronological order. The pictures of normal planes appear lighter due to facing a different direction to get the shot.
