With the recent release of the Chilean Navy's UAP video, I was reminded of "ball lightning." The Wikipedia entry on ball lightning mentions a Mapuche legend of the Anchimayen ,

Anchimayens are described as little creatures that take the form of small children, and can transform into fireball flying spheres that emit bright light. They are the servants of a kalku(a type of Mapuche sorcerer), and are created from the corpses of children.

That immediately reminded me of the Atacama humanoid, which supposedly has human DNA, but clearly isn't.

It just struck me that there's an ancient account of these supernatural entities, a government-filmed video of one form of the being, and a mummified corpse of the other form.

Does anyone have anything on this?
