Every way has its issues. There are some great videos from the last election of older women pulling huge stacks of paper ballots out from under their shirts and stuffing them in ballet boxes when they thought no one was looking. But, you can't whokesale shift an election 18 points like you can with the current system. It's a nightmare.

in my world the division between politicians has very little to do with ideology. You are either working for the people, doing what you think is best for the society that you were elected to take care of; or you are a piece of shit that never works to help the people.

Paul, Paul, Massie, Amash, Kucinich, Gravel, etc. are this way, and it has been shown over and over. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich could discuss problems, and even though their solutions were polar opposites, they could find common ground that didn't fuck the american people.

If 100% of politicians were that way then sure, i would say that i preferred libertarians to socialists; but step one is getting all politicians working for the people. Any leanings i have towards libertarian-ism could very well just be that when the government has power to do something they end up abusing that power and hurting the people.

Trump is still a wild-card, but it is nice seeing him talk to rand paul, and at least pay lip-service to many non-corrupt causes.

Honestly, I would rather want to see an opensource publicly/citizen owned and operated online voting mechanism with open access to anyone who wants to audit the specifics, than the closed behind doors super secret system you can't see unless they kill you, we have now.

No one knows what all he will do, but I think that he's on the right track, and it really settles some of my fears to see rand paul working with him on the ACA. Even if he doesn't do that great of a job, it will be very difficult to do worse than obama, and i think impossible to be as bad as hillary would have been.
