The Muslim version has Jesus' likeness being placed on someone else. That person is subsequently crucified in Jesus' place.

However, the "who" is a matter of conflicting reports, historically speaking.

Was it a double-crossing sell out? Some historical reports state as such.

Was it a young, brave disciple willing to volunteer and take Jesus' place at Jesus' request?

The latter seems to be corroborated with an Islamic tradition whereas the former is loosely supported by history.

What if I'm Jesus and the Roman Government was a psy-op? What if a book whose purpose is to convey the spiritual nature of life has subverted by those who've had their connection severed? What if Islam is the ramblings of a psychopath within the scope of the Judaic-Christos theme? What if there were a way to stop living in some form of suffering and having to seek relief and reverse it so that one lives in peace and joy with the occasional pain? What if pain exists to encourage change? What if the reason people suffer so much is they believe life happens to them instead of life happening for them? What if I fuck your sister and never call her back?

I like where you're going with this, look at the Libraries of Alexandria. Total psy-op everytime that sucker got destroyed. Have to destroy truth and knowledge before you can replace it with lies.

Actually the burden of proof is the responsibility of the one making the claim, try again...

And I have serious problems with Organized Religion, the {false} dichotomy between Judaism and Christianity... How certain verses can be curses, and how church or synagogue leaders do use them as threats. I'll admit that much, seen it too many times myself, including today.

"My God will smite you if you don't kiss my ass" sort of thing, gets real old.

I actually read a book that detailed it was Judas who sacrificed his body for Jesus so that he may "rise from the dead" (after hiding in a cave) a few days later. It was really a fun read.
