No, they claimed to be fighting ISIS. They were not. They were funding them. They also claimed to be supporting "moderate rebels". The problem with this is that moderate rebels did not exist. I must be missing something really big here. We are supporting al–Qaeda and IS in Syria while they still advocate destroying us. There is not a hairs breath of difference between the Sunni rebels and al–Qaeda who destroyed the WTC.
