All because we are becoming a puppet state who is a debt slave to the world and all it takes is for us to piss off a combination of a few countries to descend us into a great depression. Luckily we are still insanely powerful as a way to bully and do bidding of our debt holders, but that approach can't last for long - especially if we continue to build on to our debt to a point of runaway.
