“My hope was that these private equity firms would provide a new kind of rental housing for people who couldn’t – or didn’t want to – buy during the housing recovery,”

Wow. Now that is dumb. they should have let the local economy deal with it.

“evictions are highly correlated with neighborhood characteristics such as education levels, change in the employment-population rate, and racial composition,”

“They want to get them out quickly if they can’t pay,” explained Aaron Kuney, a former executive of HavenBrook and now CEO of PE landlord Piedmont Asset Management in Atlanta. “Finding people these days to rent your homes is not a problem.”

Wait.... Are these white neighborhoods that they are evicting from?

Now it makes sense. This is deliberate. This was part of the obama administrations plan to move the inner city people out of the cities, and replace them with people that can afford to live there.

The goal was to shift the voting demographics and try to eradicate the republican hold on the red south states. Hence why texas got all the trash from new orleans after katrina.

I wonder what the new administration will do about this, if anything?
