highly recommend the book fingerprints of the gods. Hancock does an exhaustive evaluation of ancient structures, making a comparative study of them from archaeological, geological, and astronomical perspectives to conclude that these seemingly independent cultures all reflected the same core teachings from a vastly more ancient and archaeologically absent civilization. he has many nay-sayers, especially in the established egyptologist circles, claiming he is a hack, etc., but read it and see the evidence for yourself. it's very compelling and at the very least deserves to be considered as a revisionist view of our history on this planet.
