Odd timing for an IP range ban on 4chan. ( conspiracy )

Can't post on 4chan for the immediate future due to an IP range ban. Bummer. Just thought the timing of it is odd, right on the heels of reddit banning the alt right and here FINALLY getting rid of some of the shittiest corners of this site, it seems like lots of places around the net are changing. Reddit banning entire communities is far from new, but the mass banning here is likely one of the first of its kind I've ever noticed.

4chan went to shit during and after gamer gate, so this is kind of par for the course for them. Makes me wonder if other corners of the net are being forced to ban users/try and regain control of their platform.

I went to hate Chan for about a year. Watched as one by one users just stopped coming due to how segmented the place has become. A board for every single interest left random nothing with which to be random about. If there were more than 10k people it would have been more fun.

That's OK though, sounds like hate chan needs way more dishonesty, shit posting, and bait threads. Either that, or it needs EVEN MORE censorship than it already has. It is because their business model is trash. The new left can not have a free discussion business model.

They assume that they are "winning" but in reality they are giving their opponents the greatest fire power against them: "The facebook/twitter business model can now work, because they have to censor their user base".

IMDB forums are getting closed down a week from now. They were turning more and more to the right, lots of whiny liberals getting smashed, lots of awful movies and TV shows getting pummeled. Without forums, they just need to alter the rating and pay a few critics.

Kind of brings me back to the IRC days. There has always been bans when it comes to smaller groups, whether that is "ballooned" or not, usually that is how dissent whether critical or unwarranted is met. That is why places like voat come out of the wood works. While they chip away at their own ivory towers, that is generally apart of their own destruction.

I frequented r/conspiracy a lot, and got banned because I was posting in a thread about the superbowl halftime show with the pentagrams, I answered someone's questions about it. Another more recent post was about Pizzagate and I just said "that's generally what the tip of the iceberg seems like" and another pizzagate thread in that same subreddit,

Honestly, maybe that last one was a bit brash but I really don't understand how they banned me under rule #10. It's not like those people in those subreddits can notify me if they've been banned or not, but I can imagine that I wasn't the only one. They probably skipped over the guys that just had two or three word comments... :S But these were all upvoted comments!
