I'm coming here because of the shitshow /r/conspiracy has become since shareblue was created. It looks so much like /r/politics now, that it gives me a headache. Shills are calling people shills, they're complaining that there's not enough posts about their mainstream approved Russia narrative, and calling Pizzagate fake. It's really something see. They went into overdrive after the Podesta videos broke yesterday. Just letting y'all know what a joke your brother community has become. It's mass confusion.

We need to seriously consider and answer the question: What do we as a society to the people who wish to rob us of honest and accurate information?

Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth. By simply not mentioning certain subjects... totalitarian propagandists have influenced opinion much more effectively than they could have by the most eloquent denunciations.

Yep, the_donald sub is what broke the pizz@g@te scandal, despite my pleas on the conspiracy sub to rename it before it's too late (the seriousness of the crimes necessitate a more serious name, at least pedogate), that sub was burned to the ground because those paying the shills saw that it posed a threat.

The pizz@g@te sub was also burned because likewise those paying the shills saw it as a threat. This is just just a natural progression.

Luckily, truth seekers know what's going on and where to go next (hint: here). That sub will just become a pointless echo chamber of approved shills and user accounts.

I'm seeing it too.

Its a large scale effort. And its fucking interesting as hell despite being infuriating. The shill campaigns are pretty damn easy to spot and are doing a shit job though, which is encouraging somewhat. Its also interesting how their focus has been pushed to r/conspiracy . It means the people there were discussing things that were crucial.

I feel like it's easy to spot because I'm familiar with the sub specifically. A casual or new user? No way. That's the most insidious and disgusting part of the entire aspect, that these are purported to be places where communication is open and free. A new user, a person of 18 perhaps, will think that /r/politics and the like are legitimate places in the world where ideas and information is discussed.

They essentially are using the tactic that I was afraid of, because I figured it would be the most effective one, rather than shill and counter things or troll in discussion they have simply been loosened with the purpose of creating the idea that there is no actual community with consensuses.

I don't know if that description is accurate. Rather than fight the individual conspiracy discussions that /r/conspiracy was typically having, they have created an entire culture of "users" who are opposed to any kind of argument against shills. By destabilizing the community and imposing the anti-shill culture (which has been in the works for a while actually) they have succeeded in scattering any real dialogue from the sub.

Don't see alot of posters on the conspiracy-sub here, but hopefully more and more people move over here. David Brock should be jailed, or whatever to get rid of the shills on reddit and other media.
