This does not make Obama a dictator. It actually transfers some US sovereignty to multinational entities.

I don't want to downplay the significance of the TPP in any way, but I want to appeal to peoples' sense of self-respect - don't let the fearmongering demoralize you. Stuff like this treaty only have as much validity as we permit it to as a nation.

But how do we fight back? I've been a lurker over at /r/conspiracy for a couple years and before that a coffee shop conspiracy theorist. I don't understand how I can do my part when elections are rigged and the cops can kill.

ItsSwiftty023

well there isnt really much you can do. Your vote doesn't count. It hasn't for awhile and thats the sad part. We will never get who we want in office anymore. Unless we stand up to the NWO and do something about it

Mumberthrax

Your vote still counts on the local level. I think that is where a lot of change is going to have to come from - neighborhoods, cities, counties, and states actually talking amongst themselves about what they want from government. The system in general is a decent one - far from perfect but in itself it is good, and the fact that it is the official system means you're a patriot for using it instead of an anarchist or terrorist for openly defying government, etc.

If everyone were more aware of how to be involved politically, and people actually invested some time to become responsibly involved, most of our corruption problems would be gone in the course of a few years - I believe.

I agree with your sentiment. Before the entire country can change, it needs to start on the local level. Most people are apathetic about what is going on around the corner much less what is going on nationwide.

The problem, IMO, is getting involved locally. My choice is the republican club or democratic club, neither of which will actually get anything done. I've been mildly involved in the democratic side and all I saw was fighting between different counties in the SAME party. To me, it never seemed to be about promoting the right ideas, only doing as much needed to get the right person into power in order to get the "winnings". It really makes you feel powerless at times.

I agree, at least on a local level, that things could get much better in a few years time IF people got more involved. It seems to me that the average person is incapable of getting involved because of the amount of time it takes to not only get up to speed on the issues, but understand the power structures that are already in place.

ItsSwiftty023

You're right about the local level. I was thinking national, with all this nationwide outrages going on I didn't even consider the local. Thank you!

Mumberthrax

Hehe, no problem. It's something that I myself need to work on improving my involvement in as well. I'm just as guilty as anyone else. I'm personally hoping to develop my skills at leadership through this moderation stuff and take the experiences and apply them in some sort of community leadership situations. We'll see how that goes. :)

ItsSwiftty023

Hey that seems like an awesome idea. More power to you man! We could all use good leaders everywhere. I need to improve my involvement as well. Its a little bit harder to do working night shift but where there's a will there's a way right?

Mumberthrax

True enough. Night shift sucks for pretty much anything outside of work though. : [

Then again, if you happen to set your sleep schedule up such that you wake up several hours before it's time to work, that means you're more free to move around and do stuff during the day than others.

ItsSwiftty023

Yeah that's true. I don'd do that. I will wake up at 8pm and get ready then go to work. On weekends though I'm up during the day like normal daywalkers.

So awesome!!!! yes!!!....now get back to work slaves
