Peaceful protests no. Violent protests yes. Unfortunately, when the police crack down on the violent protestors, the peaceful protestors get caught up.

A very good question. I think almost all Conservatives will cheer. But divide and conquer is the long game that both sides are missing.

I will be happy not because they are "leftists" but because they are no longer protests they are riots. This is not peaceful protest, nor even civil disobedience. It is one step short, and at several points has actually become, armed insurrection.

As bad as our government is (VERY) it is still one of the best in the world, and there is no discernible path whereby it could be replaced with something better. Conversely there are near limitless possibilities to replace it with something far worse.

So while the riots need to be stopped, arguably brutally so, the real question becomes: What's next? And the list of most probable answers only contains results that should scare the hell out of any rational citizen -- which of course is why no one has noticed. Rational isn't prevalent in today's citizenry.
