I finally had to leave Reddit. It was just too rigidly controlled by leftists with a cultural Marxist agenda. I couldn't say anything of significance without getting banned from subs. I brought my little red wagon over to Voat, which I fucking hope will be better about letting people say what they really think.

Godwillwin

Yeh. I was on there yesterday and was super frustrated. I want the hired David brock trolls to see the truth, so I try to make them aware. But I fail :( they are very hateful and don't even look at anything you present. They just post prepared "comebacks" like nazi. Racist. Russia. Blah blah blah. It's soooooo frustrating

chris

The most frustrating thing is that you can never really be sure if you're talking to a shill or a regular person. You never know if it's worth the effort to reply.

Godwillwin

I know. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I just give them a link to something persuasive rather than argue with them.

Tekno-monk

Just got banned from r/conspiracy because it's not fine calling some one a shill when he says that RT and Russia made up all the 911 and CIA shit.

piratse

"I don't have to debunk all those links to outside of 4chan because it was posted on 4chan." Literally every comment on there by people who can't refute anything said.

fook-fook

The following comment was removed by the moderators. It is the only attempt to refute the 4chan post. I am posting so the full argument may be seen by all.

[-]EvanHarper 453 points a day ago [removed] (7 children) This is completely delusional. You people are exactly the gullible, easily manipulated sheeple that you constantly denounce. You're buying into ridiculously easy-to-debunk theories that have been fed to you solely because they impugn someone your political touchstone, Donald Trump, doesn't get along with. It's quite pathetic. *Ashton Kutcher has done a lot of (shitty, poorly conceived, but real) anti-trafficking advocacy and Lynn de Rothschild is a well-known philanthropist.

*Boards of Trustees and Advisory Boards are by definition low-effort posts. Their job is to meet once every couple of months for a few hours and largely rubber-stamp things. Anyone who doesn't understand this is not even casually familiar with non-profit organizations.

*Having "billionaire donors" has nothing to do with how much capacity a group actually has; the point is how much they actually get in donations. And mentioning John McCain's campaign money is completely off-point. The theory that he's laundering campaign money into a charity is idiotic, besides the total lack of evidence given; the rules for charities and charity donors are much looser and more laxly enforced than for political campaigns, so if anything, you'd worry about laundering charitable donations into his campaign fund somehow.

*The McCain Institute consists of more than just its program on human trafficking; it seems to be primarily a think tank. The fact that an institute that's not primarily about human trafficking is making donations that aren't related to human trafficking is not even remotely suspicious. The fact that an institution hosted at Arizona State University is making donations to Arizona State University is... even less remotely suspicious.

*It is obviously not the case that the McCain Institute is doing "NOTHING ELSE" but writing this one check every year. You can verify this by, for example, going to its YouTube page where you can see lectures, conferences, awards ceremonies, and all the other crap that a think tank typically does. Or you can go look up the ASU internship program that partners with them. Or you can look up their fellowships program where they give subsidies and visibility to people they think are doing good work. Or the published academic research, legal amicus briefs, etc with their name on it. Or... There is literally nothing suspicious about the McCain Institute either in the facts this guy adduces, or at a glance on your own. There's absolutely nothing to this.

matt

that is a pretty old account, chris. not much use lately.

what an interesting topic to hear you speak up on.

chris

Hi shill.

matt

do you think we have the same employer? its funny when wires get crossed like that

chris

I'm employed by the truth. If you're tasked with trying to discredit somebody, at least do it in a manner where users aren't 2 clicks away from seeing you're full of shit. Ive posted consistently going back a while, you worthless fuck.

Which is hilarious because if you look at your post history, you're much more sporadic than I am, 6 month gaps, etc.

matt

Yea man. I really just commented because you have one of the oldest accounts ive seen. I thought id poke you and see how you responded. You are being ridiculously agressive. Bad day at work?

chris

Because you're a worthless shill that contributes nothing to the conversation, don't try to hide behind the "HAHA I WAS JUST PRETENDING LOL" bullshit. Fuck outta here. Also, Matt is a dumb name for idiots.

matt

If you are are not careful you are going to hurt my feelings. And what kind of conversarion would it be if we just got all emotional?

chris

Knock knock

abc_xyz

Those paying to cover up these crimes (like PR agency kids that slide comments etc) are fighting a very steep uphill battle.

There are numerous options, like this site. First off its about 100 shills against thousands of critical readers and researchers per site. When this subverse is ~more~ compromised, I have no doubt most would move to another reddit type site. The beauty of the Web is thousands of options and an ever evolving software set which provides more rich data sets and easier to discover/share/validate information.

DearClaudio

You also have to realize that a lot of people are just dumb. They get scared when anything they hold true is questioned. People shill because of stupidity and thinking they are saying something worthile, just as often as they actually are paid.

1moar

http://archive.is/lOyql because fuck eddit.

chris

Good call, I was just hoping people would click and downvote those shill fucks en mass

1moar

Yeah I know whatcha mean. Figured I'd archive it anyway.

piratse

Most of us don't have reddit accounts broheem.

derram

https://snew.github.io/r/conspiracy/comments/5zsf7j/4chan_user_says_mccain_institute_some_kind_of/?sort=confidence :

4chan user says McCain Institute, some kind of anti-human trafficking group, with Ashton Kutcher on the board, with donors like Rothschild and Saudi Arabia, looks like a Money Laundering center for the Human Trafficking network. Sounds like McCain might be a professional criminal. : conspiracy

This has been an automated message.

HarveyKlinger

So... is your post bitching about Reddit or are you saying the conspiracy you're reporting is something amiss at Reddit? Because you know, we have a couple subs DEDICATED to bitching about Reddit. This isn't one of them.

chris

This is clearly a conspiracy to AstroTurf Reddit and discredit real political conspiracies.

Poot_McGarvey

What subs are those?

My guess is that OP used v/conspiracy thinking it would have a a cross over of some of the same user base as r/conspiracy .

HarveyKlinger

I'd start at /meanwhileonreddit but by using the search command you can find a bunch of other subs dedicated to bitching about reddit.

https://voat.co/discover/subverse/top?phrase=reddit

For example:

/RedditDrama /RedditRants /AgonyOfReddit etc.

There are quite a bunch.

HarlandKornfeld14

The shills have been hitting that conspiracy sub in persistent waves since it is one of the last places on Reddit with free speech and right-wing thought.

NeedleStack

Can you archive it? I'm not going to give them clicks and I'm pretty sure other voaters would appreciate it too. Thanks!

NeedleStack

Thank you!

1moar

Anytime.

Btw, ever get a winner for the beanies?

NeedleStack

No. :( Not yet anyway.

1moar

Would you possibly want to sell one?
