Geez you lazy idiots... What is life for if you can't take a couple extra minutes for french press coffee... Fresh roast, fresh grind, fresh soul.

I wonder what would happen if you went through airport security wearing a T-Shirt that said "TSA Touched my balls"

I am not a TSA apologist, but you need to know the backstory on this. The kid has a sensory disorder and his mother was afraid he would freak out from being touched, so she spent about 30 minutes trying to convince them to not give the kid a pat-down, to the extent she insisted that two police officers be called and eventually be there to witness the pat down in case her kid freaked out so that he wouldn't get arrested. Also, her kid had packed a laptop in his luggage and "forgot" to take it out, which separately sent up a red flag.

So the reason this pat down is so fucking deliberate and drawn out is that the mother and the kid did everything possible to make themselves appear suspicious, but also to indicate that the mom was ready to file charges against the TSA. So this guy is making sure to do a very, very thorough pat down precisely because the woman spent so very, very long insisting that her kid should not get a pat down, after he had tried to send his laptop around the scanner in a carryon bag.

From this video, it appears that the woman doesn't give her kid enough credit. If she had just shut up and let the TSA do their normal 10-second pat down, none of this would have happened.

I'm not racist, but....

Rellik88

Right? Muslims would call out the one guy holding the bomb.

WatchListMe

I fly a few times A year and I have never had a negative interaction with TSA. They've never even patted me down. The videos I see online piss me off like everyone else, but I've not had it happen to me so far. What happens if you refuse or punch a TSA agent? I don't imagine I'd have much patience for this if it was my kid.

pitenius

You don't fly internationally, do you?

WatchListMe

Never, domestic mostly Michigan <---> California and Iowa <---> California. So this happens more for international flyers?

pitenius

Yeah... I've made up to monthly transatlantic crossings and transpacific quarterly. You always get this in America. If you notice, even once you go through "security" there will be another security screen at "passport control" or something.

It's stupid. Fuck security theatre. I remember when people were fleeing the Ukraine and Poland tore up some rural roads to prevent people from crossing. Alrighty... if you can drive a Zetor on it, you can take the Lada. Or fucking walk.

Likeitirish

I know, I know....I used to. Alright, I'm going to Costco and getting a maker. I should not be living like this. you're right. No more.

BPrime

Seriously. They aren't much money either.

Evileddie13

Jesus, it wasn't that bad.

ShitsInPringlesCans

What in Holy Fuck is wrong with you?

Evileddie13

It was an old woman.

OriginalReaper

DUNGBEETLE

Disband the TSA hang pelosi's goons from all the bridges going into DC.

cousineerie

I can't even look at those TSA videos anymore. It's disgusting what we have allow to happen in this country.

When i flew to poland, i was pulled aside with my daughter entering dubai. The woman did nothing but apologise for lets face it, doing her job. searching me and my 1 year old took less than a minute. This video made me ill. He lingred way too long around the crotch area. And i dont even want to think about that fucking rectum area search again...

We need to end the TSA. I always opt out of the scanners for health/safety reasons and to remind everyone in the vicinity what the TSA does.

The pat down in the video is pretty much the standard operating procedure I've received several times. Unfortunately, you can't expect the TSA agent to unilaterally wave the kid through if our "statesmen" legislators (and the electorate behind them) don't have the spine to take responsibility for shutting down the TSA when there's any remote possibility of another plane-based attack occuring--even though it's just security theater that doesn't actually impede any moderately sophisticated but determined attackers.

What happens at the end?

cousineerie

The TSA issues a public apology and promises to avoid the "naughty bits" next time.

OriginalReaper

remind me to hide the gun lighter there

A 2 minute pat down is 1 minute and 50 seconds too long. I can walk out my kitchen down the driveway pick up my newspaper walk back inside, sit down and read the headlines before my 2 minute microwave coffee is done.

NoRagrets

The fuck you microwaving a coffee for?

Likeitirish

My quick solution when I'm in a rush. Its that Via instant stuff. Cup of milk two packs of Via Instant. Out the door. Simply for the caffeine. I'm not proud to admit this.
