You are expecting redneck morons to actually have read anything about history. All they know is that its a symbol of "southern pride" and they get their overalls in a pinch when someone dares to besmirch their southern pride (just as soon as they look up what "besmirch" means.)

Seriously, fuck them. Fuck this stupid flag. Personally, I think its a good design, but its become such a symbol of racial separatism that I am seriously surprised its taken 150 years to finally get rid of the fucking thing.

There's a reason why Germany has banned the Nazi flag. Its time to do the same thing with this relic from a failed attempt at secession.
