i would say the giants built it, aka? nephilim

That's a very cool theory. Much much better than the ramp theory.

My personal opinion: the pyramids (or Khufu,, at least) were large irrigation pumps. The cavitation and splitting water atoms lit up something on the top (likely stolen a long time ago) and the wet white stones reflected that light as well as sunlight during the day, making it a reference point for everyone around. It's alignment also likely helped determine their calendar,, if viewed from spots around the complex. (like from the balcony of the KFC, maybe! ;-)

How did they split water molecules?

What do you think about the resonance if the inner chambers?

WhyNoDonuts

I'm no expert, but part of me wonders if splitting water molecules in the top chamber may have benefited from some specific sound or electric frequency that the chamber helped contain. (it resonates with air inside, but does that design serve a function when filled or partially-filled with water?) Did they manage to contain the oxygen and hydrogen for use somehow? Was it somehow used up top to create light? Perhaps some hydrogen ignited and that's what created the crack in the black stone box upstairs? So much of the pyramids have been looted and pillaged, and so much has been hidden. And to top it all off, there's guys like me with little formal education trying to postulate what may have been! Those empty tunnels leading away from the chamber may have housed metal cathodes and anodes since removed, it's just too hard to call. With Awass out of the way, maybe this will open up so we can get some experts on site who are willing to risk their tenure on speaking out against "eegyptologist's" guesses from 1907. I'm liking what the school of Khemit folks have been doing though. Also, perhaps someone should look for answers in the temples and mosques built with pyramid stone - did they record anything while doing their work? They house old books and such, possibly a few scholars here and there?

I know one thing for sure - the sphinx's body resembles that of the German shepherd lying in front of me, not my cat.
