Russell Targ is a physicist who spent several decades working in a US GOVERNMENT PROGRAM exploring "remote viewing"

an apparently anomalous extended characteristic of the mind. Targ is convinced the effect is real.

This talk was originally slated as part of a TEDx event in Hollywood in 2013, but the organization pulled their support of the event when they learned about the subjects.

James Randi was a closeted pedo. In his sixties, he promoted a 19-year old art student with a forged visa as part of the Carlos hoax. Suspiciously close to child trafficking. He's been busted in a police sting soliciting teen boys for sex. And if you mention it, you're part of a vast conspiracy of "anti-rationalists".

That's fair. And we can. Poke around in it -- he's not clean, but I don't like the threat that if you're pissed about it, that you're a shill for Big Religion, or whatnot. At the same time, kooks(?) have been into black mail since the spiritualist days. Houdini was a hero. Randi? Enh... well, he wanted to be Houdini, but... I don't want to be in a room with him.
