I came across a comment on a youtube video, with a quote from General Erwin Rommel. Now, I don't know how accurate this quote is, because I could not find it online anywhere.

It made me think about how many lies are in the history books. The "allies" won the war, but what if they weren't actually the good guys? I saw a VIDEO that had German soldiers justifying what they had done in WWII.

What do you all think about this?

I think it's amazing, that they see the humor in an shitty situation, they had no choice, orders are orders. "that's right, we marched in...we marched in without asking permission." and "war has its own laws" The look on her face was priceless.

Funny you mention those places and somehow being short sighted when their empires lasted >1,000 years, especially with culture. I'm pretty sure the worthless garbage culture that designs shit on 50 year time tables is the one who loses. Note: most of USA infrastructure is designed around that and is passed that age. Is the USA in decline? You can bet your ass it is.

Most of USA companies have a 3 month to a year or two forecast for stockholders and golden parachutes or contractual payouts to C-level executives. They don't care what happens after they get paid their share.

Chinese on the other hand are and have been gearing up their planning on 50+ year time frames.

There is a difference between being short sighted and being unable to focus. Any opinion on "decline" depends on your view on which way is "up". Most of our population has died off from the direct results of industrialization, now we are replacing them with people from less industrialized countries. When they are gone...
