This is why I never register any of my products and always use cash. The serial number isn't of much use if you don't know who owns that printer.

That's funny. As if people are leveraging their laser printers for nefarious activity. Another spectacular waste of taxpayer money and the ridiculous and petty lives that are wasted on tracking rogue phantom citizens. The only reason I believe this may be true is because I've been in line at the DMV :)
